Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her

Valentine’s Day is personally kind of a whomp whomp holiday in my book.  It’s up there with New Year’s Eve on worst holidays of the year.  One year, I was broken up with right before Valentine’s Day, and I drowned myself in buying clearance Pottery Barn Christmas ornaments.  I slapped huge black glamorous sunglasses on and the sales girl marked down my items a lot cheaper. She either pitied my teary-eye camouflaged face or thought I was some kind of a celebrity in my HUGE black shades. Plaid Toggle Coat

This plaid coat is pretty genius.  It combines all of my favorite features in a coat — it’s warm, has beautiful nautical inspired toggles, a generous hood, deep pockets, and it’s pretty much my favorite print of all — plaid!  This was one of my favorite investments this season.  I figured it would mostly get late fall and early winter wear, but this New York City winter has been exceptionally mild.  I’ve found that it’s the perfect coat for 30-40 degree days.  It looks exceptionally smart paired with red.  I’m not sure why it took me so long to purchase…
