I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Las Vegas for a surgical conference. The weather was so awful on the East Coast last week, and I was so grateful to escape unscathed the day before all of the flight disruptions occurred. United Airlines out of Newark Airport was apparently affected the most, so I was especially grateful that I signed up for the pre-conference. If I arrived a day or two later, I likely would have had a cancelled flight. Many of my former colleagues whom I hadn’t seen in years actually didn’t make it to the conference at all. 😢
The conference was at Mandalay Bay, but I stayed at the adjacent sister hotel, Delano. I remember the Delano hotel in Miami in my twenties, as it was such an iconic hotel. Sadly, it has been closed for years with an unclear future. I was so nostalgic for a piece of the Delano Miami that I took a picture in the iconic high back chairs from the former lobby!
I’m so glad I ended up ordering this watercolor fringe dress, which is actually way prettier in person if that’s possible. The fringe hemline actually packs a punch and somehow keeps it’s flare without being stiff. It’s actually kind of mind blowing how they designed it to stay perfect. I also love the turquoise beaded detail. I’m a huge fan of this brand in general, but keep in mind that this brand generally runs one size small.

My nurse practitioner friend from L.A., Cecelia, and I had dinner at Catch in the Aria Hotel. 10/10 recommend for ambiance, food, and drinks! Everything was delicious and the drinks were intoxicating! Highly recommend. They’re opening several other outposts in Miami and Dallas in the next year!
