Nautical Spring Style

I can’t believe today is Easter.  Celebrating down the shore with family, so what better time to launch some nautical spring style?  I have some short upcoming trips in the works, so I’m excited about that.  I’m also excited that nautical style is making a comeback this season.  We’re seeing preppy pieces on the runway, so that makes me very happy.

So, what exactly is nautical spring style? At its core, it’s all about incorporating classic maritime elements into your outfit. Think crisp whites, navy blues, and pops of red and yellow. Stripes, anchors, and rope details are also a must. The key is to balance these classic elements with modern touches, so your outfit feels fresh and current.

To get started with nautical spring style, try incorporating some of these classic pieces into your wardrobe:

  1. Striped tops: Nothing says nautical quite like a classic striped shirt. Look for tops with horizontal stripes in navy and white, or try something with a twist, like a striped crop top or off-the-shoulder blouse.
  2. White denim: White denim is the perfect canvas for a nautical-inspired outfit. Pair white jeans with a navy blazer or striped tee for a classic look, or try a white denim skirt with a colorful top for a more playful feel.
  3. Boat shoes: Boat shoes are a classic nautical accessory. Look for styles in neutral colors like tan or navy, or try a bolder option in a bright hue like yellow or red.
  4. Rope belts: A rope belt is a subtle way to add some nautical flair to your outfit. Look for belts with braided rope detailing or try a belt with a knot closure for an extra dose of maritime charm.
  5. Anchor jewelry: Jewelry is the perfect way to add a little nautical detail to your look. Look for anchor earrings, necklaces, or bracelets for a touch of seafaring style.

I purchased these ankle length sailor style pants recently on sale, and they’re truly timeless.  I love gold hardware too.  This brand is new to me, but they have a great reputation for quality.  This appears to be a staple style, so you just need to keep an eye on your favorite colors.  I’m already eying the white pair for summer!

When it comes to putting together a nautical spring outfit, the key is to keep things balanced. Pair classic nautical pieces with modern, on-trend elements to keep your outfit feeling fresh and fashion-forward. Don’t be afraid to mix and match stripes and colors, and play around with different accessories to create a look that feels uniquely you.

In conclusion, nautical spring style is the perfect way to add some classic, seafaring charm to your wardrobe. Incorporate pieces like striped tops, white denim, boat shoes, rope belts, and anchor jewelry to create a look that’s both classic and modern. So set sail and embrace your inner sailor this spring!
