Stewart Plaid Quilted Jacket

It’s less than two weeks until Christmas, and I’m enjoying a plaid overload of fashion.  When I saw this stewart plaid quilted jacket, I knew it would be the perfect holiday outerwear piece to get me through until the holidays.  It’s surprisingly warm thanks to its Primaloft technology, a down-alternative that both keeps you warm and keeps plastic bottles out of oceans and landfills.  I love this cozy blazer/jacket hybrid — cozy, sleek, and structured all at the same time. I can’t tell you how many compliments I already received on this stewart plaid quilted jacket.  It’s truly festive, and…

Stewart Plaid & Velvet

I’m so excited that plaid season is in full swing.  I’m a HUGE fan of this stewart plaid and velvet dot shirt.  It was literally love at first sight.  It’s the perfect slightly-dressy-but-still-casual-enough top to take you throughout the holiday season.  I paired it with wide leg velvet pants to play up the velvet dot detail.  Of course, I slipped on my stewart plaid pumps to put on the finishing touches.  You never have to twist my arm to break out these bad boys! Although this holiday season looks a little different, I’m trying to keep it as festive as…

Tartan Tunic

‘Tis the season for plaid, so get ready for the next 30 days!  This Stewart tartan tunic was love at first sight.  I love the velvet trimmed details, and I think it looks so perfect with tights/leggings and knee high boots.  This outfit would definitely be in my work wear rotation if COVID wasn’t happening right now in the world.  I was reluctant to relinquish my wardrobe to scrubs, but the last few weeks have been rough with increasing numbers.  Therefore, I am living my best holiday plaid life on the blog this year and dreaming of a more sane…

Getting in the Holiday Spirit

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is almost here!  What a wild ride of a year.  I’m definitely looking forward to this holiday, as it’s quite possibly the last holiday I’ll be celebrating this year.  Hospitalizations are creeping up in New Jersey, and there are no guarantees that elective surgeries will continue if COVID hospitalizations implode.  There is a strong possibility I will get re-deployed to another part of the hospital, possibly to work with COVID patients.  My schedule may become erratic, and we certainly don’t know how many months of trouble lie ahead.  In the meantime, the only things getting me…

Vampire Facial Review: PRP Facial

The PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Facial, also known as the Vampire Facial, was an overnight sensation when Kim Kardashian West posted a selfie during the process in 2013.  I’ve always been intrigued with this treatment, partly because I’m a science nerd with an interest in cosmetic dermatology.  The PRP Facial, when performed in a series of treatments, has been clinically shown to help stimulate collagen and reduce complexion issues, such as melasma, acne, and acne scarring.  It’s always been on my treatment bucket list, so when Nu Image MedSpa in Paramus, NJ reached out to me for a complimentary treatment,…
