💚#ad Mental health conversations aren’t always easy — especially for women over 65 who were taught to “push through” and keep things private. But silence doesn’t have to be the norm anymore.

As a nurse practitioner, I’ve seen the power of starting The Talk. It opens the door to support from family, friends, and clinicians — and that support can truly change lives.

One tool I use in my practice is the GeneSight test, which helps inform treatment by showing how a person’s genes may impact the way they metabolize or respond to certain mental health medications. It’s not the whole picture, but it’s a valuable piece of it.

✨ If you’re struggling — even quietly — please know you don’t have to go through it alone. Start the conversation with your clinician. There is support for you.
