It’s been a long time coming, but I’m finally doing a Nap Dress Review. This is one of the most popular dresses of the summer and for good reason! It’s so effortless, comfortable, and comes in a ton of cute prints and solids. It’s perfect for those dog days of summer when all you want to wear is a maxi dress.
It took me awhile to dip my toe into the Hillhouse Nap Dress craze, but I saw one of my favorite bloggers, Amy Havins, wearing this print and I was immediately intrigued. I love the mermaid print. It looked so cute on her, and you ALL know that I’m partial to pink 😉. I sized down per universal suggestions that the dress runs big. I’m so glad I did because it fits perfectly. I definitely recommend sizing down one size from your normal size — I went with an XS!
If the insanely popular Ellie style is not your cup of tea, there are a ton of other styles to choose from. I also love the separates — it’s fun to swap out the shorter skirt for white denim. They even have matching options for your mini-me!
Keep in mind that every print has a different fabric. Some of the solid fabrics can be a little sheer, and other fabrics may have a slight sheen to them. It was helpful to know that prior to ordering. I also recommend following their Instagram @hillhouse, because they often photograph fabric “sneak peeks” prior to release. Be cognizant that styles often sell out quickly, but they will almost always be restocked just as quickly. You just need to keep popping back onto the site, because that’s how I snagged mine! Literally, as I was typing this post, my sold out style popped back in all sizes!
Ellie Nap Dress (runs big — size down one size! — wearing a size XS) — I also love the separates (top and bottom) // Celine sunglasses (also love the Amazon dupes for $18) // Leather sandals // Wicker rattan clutch
