The Lele Sadoughi headband trend took me by no surprise. I’ve always been a huge fan of headbands. It all started back in grade school when I would wear them all the time, often positioning them right across my hairline to the distress of my mother. I thought that was the trendiest place to wear them — haha! Even budding fashionistas blunder sometimes :)
Then, Blair Waldorf brought the headband to the fashion forefront during the Gossip Girls series, and everyone wanted to emulate her Upper East Side chicness. Insert Lele Sadoughi and her booming headband business. The name might sound familiar, as she worked alongside Jenna Lyons during her reign at J.Crew, designing many of the ultra popular jewelry pieces the mid-2010s were known for. I’ve seen her pieces popping up everywhere, and it wasn’t until I saw that J.Crew was doing a collaboration with her brand that I became hooked. There is even a line being offered for Crewcuts, which I actually like better than the original size.
For whatever reason, I think her girls headband line fits my face better.
