Formé Shoe Shaper Review

Ladies, I don’t know about you, but wearing beautiful shoes hurt.  I have a beautiful needlepoint Jonathan Adler pillow in my home that says “The Higher the Heel, the Better You Feel”.  Although a beautifully designed stiletto does make me feel confident, I’m usually debilitated after a long night of dancing on my feet.  This doesn’t stop me from buying the gorgeous shoes, though!  This is especially true of my beloved Christian Louboutins, which are almost as painful as they are stunningly beautiful.

Enter Formé Shoe Shapers, a truly revolutionary high heel shoe shaper that takes the pinch out of uncomfortable shoes.  These shapers work in any shoe style, from flats to 6 inch pumps!  They’re lightweight yet powerful and aesthetically designed in rose gold coated thermoplastic polymer and stainless steel.  Because I’m almost between sizes, the Formé team was kind enough to send over two sizes to try.

You simply slip the toe into your shoes, and slide the extender tab to your desired stretched width.  The heel tab then slides into the heel of the shoe to gently and securely stretch the shoes.  I love how lightweight the design is, which is perfect for traveling.  You could conceivably slip these into your shoes and pack them in your suitcase with no extra noticeable weight.  Long gone are the days of soaking an old pair of socks in rubbing alcohol and slipping them into the toe of your pumps.  Formé Shoe Shapers are much gentler, but still quite effective.

While I would define my shoe width as rather medium, certain designer shoes are designed for a narrower foot, which can lead to a cramped toe box.  These particular Christian Louboutin Lace Glitter Pigalles are beautiful, the toe box is snug. While I can fit my feet in the shoes, I wondered how they’d feel after a night of dancing.  Formé Shoe Shapers gently widened the toe box, so now they feel more comfortable than ever!  Amazingly, they didn’t damage the design of the shoes.
